His Cherished Ones, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation dedicated to the purpose of promoting the value of family using biblical principles to strengthen families through the relational teaching of men, women, and abandoned and orphaned babies.

His Cherished Ones (HCO) was founded in 2008 when God began opening doors for ministry for Trena Ivy Mroczko, giving her a passion and desire for strengthening families in Kenya. While working with a number of different children’s homes and organizations, she began to see the common theme of children being raised in children’s homes while relatives, often even parents, live nearby.

Trena’s heart for the family inspired her to open Haven of Hope Baby Center in 2009 for the purpose of rescuing abandoned and orphaned infants and placing them with families rather than growing up in children’s homes. Finding and working with babies’ biological families in order to strengthen, enable and empower them to care for their own child and reunite those babies with the family was her primary goal. For babies whose biological families cannot be found, they are placed for adoption and united with their new forever family.
Over the years, HCO has used HOH Baby Center and our relationship with our community to reach beyond and develop programs for widows and single mothers, teen boys and various community outreaches, all with the goal and vision of teaching and training people to be leaders in their homes and families through a personal relationship with Jesus. Strengthening the family unit through biblical principles and teaching has remained the primary goal of His Cherished Ones.
Currently, HCO is experiencing new growth that completes the circle of the family unit to include the teaching and discipleship of men. As Trena and Jim Mroczko have joined their lives and ministry, they work as a team to expand the ministry of HCO, with Jim leading and coordinating efforts in discipling the men of the immediate HCO family, the surrounding community and reaching beyond to more remote villages in need. Through reaching the husbands and fathers, it is our desire to see families and communities transformed as they embrace a personal relationship with Christ and becoming followers of Jesus.

A new command I give you: Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another . . . John 13:34, 35
